Delivery Terms of Service - DPD Local

Delivery Terms of Service

By placing an order with House of Blanks, you agree to the following delivery terms and conditions:

1. Dispatch & Tracking

  • Orders are processed and dispatched to the delivery address provided at checkout.

  • Once dispatched, tracking details are provided by email and/or SMS (depending on the details entered at checkout).

  • Tracking updates are provided directly by DPD Local UK and show real-time progress.

2. Delivery Attempts

  • DPD will attempt delivery to the address provided at checkout at least once.

  • If no one is available, the driver may:

    • Leave the parcel with a neighbour,

    • Leave the parcel in a safe place (where deemed suitable), or

    • Redirect the parcel to the nearest DPD Pickup Shop.

  • These procedures are part of DPD’s terms of service and cannot be overridden by us.

3. Parcel Shop Collections

  • If a parcel is redirected to a Pickup Shop, DPD will notify you via your chosen contact method (text, email, or app).

  • Parcels are held for a limited time (usually 7 days). If not collected within this timeframe, the parcel will be returned to us.

4. Returned Parcels

  • If a parcel is returned to us due to non-collection, refusal, or an incomplete/incorrect address, additional postage costs will apply for re-shipment.

  • Alternatively, the parcel may be collected from our unit by arrangement.

  • Refunds will not be issued on custom or personalised products under any circumstances.

5. Proof of Delivery

  • DPD provides proof of delivery through GPS tracking and/or photographic evidence.

  • Once a parcel is marked as delivered by DPD, whether to the address, neighbour, or designated safe place, the order is considered fulfilled.

6. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available at the address on the delivery date, or for making arrangements via the DPD app (e.g., safe place, neighbour, reschedule, Pickup Shop).

  • We cannot be held liable for parcels returned or delayed due to these arrangements not being made.

7. Delivery Timescales

  • Delivery times are estimates provided by DPD and are not guaranteed.

  • Mainland UK (England, Wales, most of Scotland): typically 1–2 working days after dispatch.

  • Northern Ireland, Highlands, Islands, Channel Islands, and remote areas: delivery may take longer (typically 2–5 working days) and may be subject to surcharges.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by DPD, weather conditions, strikes, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

8. Address Accuracy

  • The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.

  • We are not liable for delays, loss, or return of parcels due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

9. Authority to Leave & Delivery to Neighbour

  • By placing an order, you agree that DPD may deliver to a neighbour or leave in a safe place at their discretion if you are not available.

  • We are not responsible for parcels once DPD has confirmed delivery.

10. Returned Parcel Condition

  • If a parcel is returned due to non-collection or failed delivery, we cannot guarantee the condition of the goods (e.g., bent packaging, handling damage). Reshipment is at the customer’s own risk and expense.

11. Custom & Personalised Orders

  • Custom and personalised products (including UV-DTF and DTF prints) are non-refundable once printed, regardless of delivery outcome.

  • If a parcel is returned to us, it can be re-shipped at the customer’s expense or collected from our unit.

12. Refusal of Delivery

  • If delivery is refused and the parcel is returned, the order remains non-refundable. Additional postage charges apply for re-shipment.

13. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by circumstances outside our control, including but not limited to courier delays, strikes, adverse weather, or incorrect customer information.
